The Go Green Explorer Badge recognises members who actively explore and implement green practices in their daily lives. Here's how to document your exploration and claim the badge:
1. Choose Your Green Focus:
- Domain: Select a specific area where you want to focus your green efforts – home, workplace, education, community, or a combination.
- Specific Practice: Narrow down your focus to a specific green practice you want to explore. This could be anything from composting food scraps to reducing energy consumption at work, using eco-friendly cleaning products at home, or advocating for greener policies in your community.
2. Exploration & Documentation:
- Research: Learn more about your chosen practice. Look for resources on the Go Green platform, reliable websites likethe EPA, or conduct your own research to understand the impact and benefits.
- Planning & Implementation: Develop a plan to implement the chosen green practice. This might involve setting goals, gathering resources, and figuring out any logistical hurdles. Document your plan and any initial challenges you encounter.
- Action & Monitoring: Put your plan into action! Record your progress by taking photos, keeping a journal, or using a tracking app. Track the results and any positive changes you observe.
3. Sharing Your Journey:
- Go Green CoP: Share your experience on the Go Green Community of Practice! You can write a blog post, post pictures and updates on the forum, or even create a video documenting your green journey. Encourage others to explore similar practices or share their own experiences.
- Social Media: Share your badge on social media using the hashtag #GoGreenExplorerBadge and tagging the Go Green community.
4. Claiming Your Badge:
- Submission & Review: After documenting your exploration, submit your entry on the Go Green CoP. This could consist of a blog post, a forum thread, or a video link. The Go Green team will review your submission to ensure it meets the criteria for the Explorer Badge.
